Don’t just buy any oil….. Other brands are just generic oil they stick in a bottle Its not formulated to work with nitro fuel.
***** MOST ALL other brand after run oils on the market are NOT safe for silicone filled crankshafts and other after runs will EAT THE SILICONE AND ORINGS over time not ours!
There are a couple ways to use.
1. remove glow plug and put 5-6 drops into glow plug hole.
2. remove air filter and put 5-6 drops into carburetor.
3 . remove backplate and apply 5-6 drops directly to rear bearing and crankshaft.
Whichever application method you choose after putting in the oil ( do not start the engine) but rotate the engine a few times to circulate the oil in the engine by either pulling the pullstarter a couple times, putting on starter box for a couple seconds, or simply rotating engine by hand to circulate the oil.
This after run is safe for o-rings and filled most after run oils on the market are simply basic lubrication oil, this after run lubricates and protects from rust and oxidation and will not gum up over time. After run oil is very important so don’t go cheap or use just any oil on your engine. Use the best!
Despite what fuel manufacturers claim after run oil should be used any time your engine will sit for more than 2 days. Especially if you live in a humid climate.
