Covered with thin coating of vegetable oil to protect shine and prevent sticking; may turn cloudy from temperature changes during shipping but can be made shiny again by spraying them with light coating of vegetable oil
Always keep in cool dry place — not in fridge or freezer
Place gem on dessert right before serving, to avoid extended exposure to moisture, which becomes absorbed in the gem and takes away its shine and turns it white (harmless but missing original appeal)
