Each oven is different. For all gas ovens and ovens with hidden heating elements, the oven mat must be placed on the bottom rack (not on the oven bottom). For ovens with exposed heating elements, place the liner under the heating element at the bottom of the oven, for all other ovens on the bottom of your oven.
